Application for Course Enrollment

The primary purpose of the LOUSIANA MASTER NATURALIST PROGRAM (LMNP) is to offer a statewide program that educates Louisiana citizens about their precious flora and fauna, as well as other aspects of their environment and ecosystems. Once certified, the certified Louisiana Master Naturalists are required to use their talents to educate others or assist programs that promote and protect Louisiana’s natural heritage.

Acceptance into the Louisiana Master Naturalist, Northwest Louisiana Chapter Program is based on receipt of the registration and course fees ($100.00) on a first-received first-accepted basis.

No refunds will be given once your fees have been received and you have agreed to participate in the program. Depending on the needs of the instructor’s for each session, additional fees may be charged for materials, special transportation needs, etc. These will be kept to a minimum.

Registration for the course is a commitment to attend the orientation plus seven of the nine sessions offered. Training will be limited to 20 or so individuals per course. Trainees are required to attend a minimum of the orientation and 7 of the 9 training workshops, including Biodiversity & Ecology and Interpretation & Volunteering, and score 80% or better on the final exam.
